DR SUDEEP CHAWLA

GP Partner

MB BS. FRCGP. PGCME. I am partner of the practice working closely with our Practice Manager on the strategic direction for the practice and helping with the overall running of the practice. I have a keen interest in dermatology (skin complaints), minor surgery and joint injections. I am also a GP trainer and appraiser. I have worked with the team and patients of Wingerworth for 17 years and proud of our achievements to date.

MBChB, DCH, DRCOG, DFSRH, PGCertMedEd, FRCGP I qualified from Sheffield University in 2002 and completed my GP training in Chesterfield in 2006. As well as my work at Wingerworth I am a training programme director on the Chesterfield and Derbyshire Dales GP training programme and a mentor for doctors is GP-s, I also teach medical students from Sheffield and write educational articles for DFTB. I host a medical humanities podcast called Bedside Reading. My main interests are in medical education and in reproductive and child health. I am a trained contraceptive coil and implant fitter as well as doing joint injections

DR SARAH TODD

BMedSci, MBChB, DCH, DRCOG, DFSRH, MRCGP. I qualified from Sheffield University in 2002 and completed my GP training in Chesterfield in 2006. I enjoy the variety of health problems we meet in general practice, but my particular interests are reproductive and child health. I am a trained contraceptive implant fitter as well as doing joint injections. As well as my work at Wingerworth I have a voluntary role as a peer mentor for Adoption UK in South Yorkshire. I am passionate about advocating for children and families in the care system and beyond.

DR HANNAH RAPAPORT

Cert. in Med. Education I qualified from Sheffield Medical School in 2012 and completed my Foundation years in Leeds and Harrogate. I did my GP training in Chesterfield and finished in 2019. I am the Palliative Care Lead at Wingerworth, and also thinking about ways we can reduce out carbon footprint as Green Lead.

I qualified from Sheffield Medical School in 2018 and completed my GP training in Chesterfield in 2024. I love the variety of working in general practice and have a particularly interest in Ear, Nose and Throat medicine (ENT). In addition to being a GP I also work in Chesterfield Royal Hospital in the ENT department.

I qualified from Liverpool University in 2015 and completed my GP training in Chesterfield in 2024. I also work as a Sheffield Medical School educator for their early and third year students. I really enjoy all the different parts of General Practice but my more specific interests are palliative care in the community and sports/musculoskeletal injuries.

JESSICA MITCHELL

I completed my undergraduate training at University of Nottingham and graduated with an MPharm in 2015. I completed my pre-registration training in community pharmacy and qualified as a Pharmacist in 2016. I moved to general practice in 2020 as I was keen to develop my role in patient care. I am involved in medication reviews, hypertension reviews, audits, quality improvement, monitoring medication and ensuring safe prescribing.

In March 2020, whilst under the support of WMC and within the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, I started a degree at The University of Derby to become a Registered Nursing Associate, which I achieved First Class Honours. Within my role at WMC I provide services such as Phlebotomy, blood pressures, ECG, Diabetic Foot checks and some injections. Now that I am qualified, I am looking to gain extra training so I can provide more services.

Practice Manager

The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Admin/Reception

Receptionists / Administrators provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists / Administrators make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits. Please note our staff do not take prescriptions over the telephone.
